The Personal Injuries Assessment Board (PIAB) is Ireland’s independent state body for assessing personal injury compensation. It’s a very simply it’s a mechanism whereby if you have an injury and we can get a report from your doctor on it. You can then lodge a claim with the Injuries Board. They are totally independent and they will assess your claim and come up with a figure.
